GREAT Partnership

We offer the following services:

  • Preschool Full Inclusion Classes: These are classes with typically developing students as well as students with IEP's. Locations in the Gateway, Redding, and Enterprise Districts.
  • SDC Preschool: We currently operate two classes for students with significant disabilities. One serves the 3 to 5 year old with Autism and the other classroom serves students with orthopedic and cognitive delays.
  • K-8 grade SDC classes for the Severely involved student. We have classes located on the Alta Mesa, Buckeye School of the Arts, Juniper, and Sequoia campuses.
  • We provide Speech and Language and Occupational therapy services in our classrooms, utilizing an embedded model.
  • APE Specialist and Program Specialist.

GREAT Partnership Goals:

  • Serve preschool students within local school district
  • Assess preschoolers utilizing the school assessment team
  • Provide seamless delivery of educational services to students
  • Ensure that all preschool students are offered a Free and Appropriate Public Education
  • Work closely with families to support early educational success
  • Facilitate a smooth transition into kindergarten


Assessment Team

The GREAT Partnership has a multidisciplinary assessment team.  Our team works with the family in a play-based assessment format. This team is composed of a school psychologist, a speech and language pathologist, and a school nurse. The team works out of the Assessment Center located at 3450 Tamarack Rd.

There is a playroom set up which provides the team the space necessary to conduct the assessment. Parents are present for this initial play-based assessment session. This session last between 60 to 90 minutes.

Standardized instruments are utilized by the assessment team as deemed necessary. These standardized instruments would be used to find further information about a child's cognitive functioning, speech and language levels and social/emotional behaviors. Additional arrangements are made if standardized assessment is necessary.

After our team has completed their assessment, a meeting to discuss the results is scheduled with the parent and district of residence.
